The jeans are made of heavyweight cotton that is not stiff-as-a-board or scratchy. The front pockets are reasonably deep; you can put money in them & not expect it to fall out when you sit down. The length really is what you order, not an unpleasant surprise. The relaxed fit truly is a relaxed fit, giving you a little room to move but not being baggy. The cut is comfortable & good-looking, in a definitely casual style. Let me be clear: if you're wanting to look good for a date, these are not the jeans to wear. If you're wanting to look good for meeting friends for an afternoon at the movies, however, these are great. I've only had them a short time so I can't be certain how they will hold up, but the heavy cotton & the construction seem to be of good enough quality that I expect them to hold up well for a long time.
